Hypnotherapy (SFH)
SFH is a combination of hypnosis and cutting edge CBT and NLP techniques. It is a way to re-shape neural pathways in our brains to break negative cycles and unhelpful beliefs.
Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation and concentration, where the mind is simultaneously relaxed and focused. In this state, time passes very quickly and is accompanied by wonderful feelings of deep relaxation of both mind and body.
It is definitely not stage hypnosis and no-one will be asked to act like a chicken, I promise. Hypnosis is more akin to daydreaming where we can help your mind find the solutions you need to move forward in your life.
Our brains are incredible biological computers controlling and managing our breathing, thoughts, digestion, growth and renewal. Nevertheless, our brains are required do so much more than this - just think of the automatic nervous responses that make us blush or send chills down our spine. Our brains interpret the world we live in and are capable of imagination and contemplation, something the most powerful computer is in incapable of.
It is a way to re-shape neural pathways in our brains to break negative cycles and unhelpful beliefs.
The science of neuroplasticity (how the brain makes new connections, remodelling and altering our thought patterns) reveals how we can harness those thinking blueprints and create a healthier, happier life for ourselves. By combining psychotherapy and hypnotherapy I aim to help you make new thought connections, move forward in your life and achieve your goals.
What Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is NOT
Hypnotherapy is very different to anything you expect to see a stage hypnotist present. There certainly isn't any swinging watches or chicken impersonations involved. Hypnotherapy does not take away free will. It is much more akin to a guided daydream where you will feel pleasantly relaxed and the stresses of the day float away.
Hypnotherapy works effectively over Zoom, Facetime or Skype.
